Description

The MGDS-155 high input series is a complete line of high density wide input range DC/DC power modules designed for aerospace, military and high-end industrial applications.

The NEW 9-45V and 16-80V models are uniquely small and their wide input range and transient capability allows to comply with Mil-Std-704, Mil-Std-1275, DO-160 or equivalent.

The 155-480V input range models are ideal for 270V DC input bus or on 380V after an AC-DC rectification.

These modules use a patented fixed switching topology providing wide input range, low noise characteristics and high power density. The synchronization function allows to synchronize more than one converter to one frequency or an external source frequency.

All the modules are designed with LC network filters to minimize reflected input current ripple and output voltage ripple. The modules have totally independent security functions including input under voltage lock-out, output overvoltage protection, output current limitation protection, and temperature protection. Additionally a soft-start function allows current limitation and eliminates inrush current during start-up.

Gaia's MGDS-155 Series of High-Reliability DC-DC Converters are designed for higher operating temperatures of -40 to +105°C (optional -55°C) with input ranges required for typical military & airborne applications.
