齒輪油泵是一種容積式內齒輪泵。由于其結構簡單、噪音低、供油穩定、自吸性能好等高速特性，在低壓液壓系統中得到了廣泛的應用。可作為動力泵或潤滑泵使用。該泵適用于輸送各種油。
雙作用雙聯泵原理：當電機帶動轉子沿轉動時，葉片在離心力和葉片底部壓力油的雙重作用下向外伸出，其頂部緊貼在定子內表面上。處于四段同心圓弧上的四個葉片分別與轉子外表面、定子內表面及兩個配流盤組成四個密封工作油腔。這些油腔隨著轉子的轉動，密封工作油腔產生由小到大或由大到小的變化，可以通過配流盤的吸油窗口（與吸油口相連）或排油窗口（與排油口相連）將油液吸入或壓出。在轉子每轉過程中，每個工作油腔完成兩次吸油和壓油，所以稱為雙作用式葉片泵，由于高低壓腔相互對稱對稱，軸受力平衡，為卸荷式。
